The Kettle Club is holding a Classic Track Day at Oulton Park 28TH September, organiser ‘Filth’ takes up the story:
“2 Stroke Tuesday has been planned with one purpose in mind , to thrash your classic Two Stroke with other like minded hooligans! No Volvos in site, no cameras and hopefully all going around in the same direction…
“With my passion for the GT750 and custom built bikes it seemed inevitable that the two would have to come together at some stage and this is it. With other club members from The Kettle Club building specials and the camaraderie amongst the two stroke clans from the Kawasaki Triples and LC Clubs its an event not to be missed.
“We expect some exotica on the day too , maybe some TR’s or TZ’s but hopefully no FS-1E’s!”
A 105Db limit will be applicable on the day, and all are welcome to come along and join in the fun. Riders get seven sessions lasting 20 minutes during the day, in groups of ranging skills. All you need is a classic two stroke from the 1970’s , 80’s or 1990’s , a set of leathers, proper boots and crash worthy helmet. Awards for the different categories of bikes and best turned out machinery will end the day of what the Club are hoping will become an annual event.
