Cool My Ducati 900 SSie wonīt start!
Hi,
when I put my Ducati in for store last autumn it ran fine; but now it refuse to start although the starter runs and the injection pump is working. But it wonīt start....

Any help would be appreciated......

Probably be wise (unless you already have) to ask on a dedicated Ducati forum. I've found with my Aprilia that there's a wealth of experience and advice from people who know the brad inside out.

How long was the bike stored?

And does the engine fire at all when it's turning over?

If it has stood through winter the first approach to start up (for me) would be new plugs. The problem has to be either fuel or spark and you say that the fuel is OK.

Smile My Ducati does start!!!
Hi everybody who tried to help me!

Yesterday I tried some starting gas; and it worked just fine. Now itīs running again!!!

It has been in storage since August 2011 in a climate controlled garage; so I thought that it couldnīt been that far of ......

I started a few weeks ago by going over most of the electical connections on the bike; so as a matter of fact Iīm not sure if it was this work or if itīs the starting gas. But, anyway my bike is ok now.

Glad you got it started. Italian bikes? Talking to a mechanic at our local Ducati specialist. He reckons they don't like not being used. He said they have more problems with pampered low mileage bikes, than one's that are used regularly. (a girl there hasa monster with nearly 40k on which she commutes on and problem free).

I don't know how true this is, but looking on an Aprilia forum, it does seem the guys with problems do seem to have bikes with very low mileages. Mine has nearly 60k on and has been a brilllliant bike. Who know's. At least it's going, though you are spoilt for choice. :-D
