No Budget Cup: An Overview

The No Budget Cup is an exciting new race series for British bikers on a Budget. The series is already a huge success in Belgium, attracting more entrants than any other championship in country with its fun and affordable nineties twist. The five round, entry-level endurance championship is only open for bikes aged between 1990 and 2000 inclusive.

Each team consists of two or three riders who all compete on the same bike, sharing a one-hour qualifying session before each three-hour race. There are three separate categories; 600cc Class, +600cc Class and the Megabike class. The No Budget CUP is designed to combat the credit crunch and bridge the gap between track days and more competitive, expensive racing so all competing No Budget CUP bikes must be based on road production models and use road legal tyres and wets.

The governing body for motorcycle sport in Britain is backing this fun new championship for absolute beginners. While riders with an ACU Clubman Road Race licence are welcome to enter the NBC, more experienced racers who have held a National or International licence within the last 10 years are excluded.
