If you’ve not booked your holidays yet, then get that form in quick smart. Thankfully, the exchange rate is heading in the right direction, France is still a fabulous biking destination and the weather is always better on the other side of La Manche.
To get you there in style, Brittany Ferries offers a load of different routes from a variety of South Coast ports. The crossings aren’t the quick dash that you get on the Dover or Folkstone routes, or Eurotunnel for that matter, but they do get you further into France, meaning less miles spent on boring bits of motorway. We used the Portsmouth to Caen route to go on our Sportsbike of the Year test and it couldn’t have been more relaxing.
