BJ was lucky enough to be invited Ascari this week, for the launch of Triumph’s new 1050 Speed Triple. The big questions we had are whether or not it’ll finally be able to compete in our next Naked Sportsbike of The Year test, alongside its smaller Street Triple sibling?
From the look of the bike and the changes Triumph have made, it would seem to be a big departure from their usual fare, with a proper nod towards sporty performance. The other question is, would this put off existing fans and owners?
At this point we can tell you the answer to both is yes and no respectively, because Triumph have pulled off a coup de gras in spectacular style, and you can find out exactly why by reading our full launch report in issue 243, on sale 17th November.
