Having tazzed about southern Spain for the last day and a half, we’re happy to report that the new fairing works on a number of levels. It makes the bike look good, it keeps the wind and rain off much better than nowt and it turns the machine into a supersporty machine. Of course, this is no ZX-10R, but it does a decent impression. The SX is so easy to ride, easy to stunt and easy to do decent miles on. If there’s any justice in the world, Kawasaki should sell these by the bucketload, as it’s head and shoulders above the competition.

It’s expected to be priced in the £9,200 region and the first bikes should be in the shops in November. These will be followed by a ‘touring’ edition with ABS and panniers.
