2011 Triumph Daytona 675R

Triumph has released images and tech specs on their new Daytona 675R – and what a beauty it is too, with an Öhlins fork and shock, Brembo monoblocs, and a quickshifter stealing the headlines.

Underneath its a standard Daytona, but Triumph has worked with Öhlins to fit their 43mm NIX30 fork and TTX36 shock, which should lend the 675R all the adjustability adn poise you could hope for, whether on road or track.

Also thrown on as standard fitment is the quickshifter from the aftermarket parts catalogue – delivering seamless clutchless upshifts at full throttle, while a set of Brembo Monoblocs will haul it all back down to corner entry speeds with a whiff of lever. And to reduce the amount of weight they’re stopping, there’s also some nice carbon fibre bodywork including a hugger, silencer heat shield and front mudguard. The R also gets a lap timer and programmable gear change lights.

She’s a looker too. That gold fork looks very nice against the crystal white bodywork, and the red subframe contrasts nicely to add a bit of blood red passion. Triumph has also used a new version of their logo on the tank, which we look looks mint. There will, of course, also be a host of other official goodies available through your dealer, such as an Arrow slip-on silencer, race style CNC machined levers and a single seat cowl.
