Honda CBR600F Launch

Born in Japan, but built in Italy, the CBR600F has made a long-awaited comeback after nearly a decade away, and Al has spent the last few days in the damp Spanish countryside sampling Honda’s latest addition to the CBR family.

Joining the 600 in Seville is the revitalised 2011 CBR125R and an all-new CBR250R – trying to take a share of the market from Kawasaki’s Ninja two-fiddy.

First impressions suggest Honda’s plan of user-friendliness combined with a little fun has come to fruition. The Hornet-derived motor is super-smooth and the chassis superbly balanced, bridging the gap between budget softies and full-bore supersport 600s. And at just over £7k, the CBR 600F is well priced.

Is the new CBR600F just a Hornet with some clothes on? Are its smaller siblings any good? You’ll have to wait for next month’s mag…
