A limited edition MV Agusta F4CC ‘Claudio Castiglioni’ superbike, one of 100 units originally sold for €100,000 euro each, is being offered for sale at Silverstone Auctions’ MotoGP sale on 11 June, with an estimated bid price around £50,000.

This unregistered bike (number 10 of 100) uses the technology and expertise of MV Agusta’s racing department. Over 90% of the components are tailor-made, including the racing suspension and frame components, with features including carbon fibre fairings, titanium meshes on intakes and outlets, four titanium racing exhausts, a new timing system, brake and clutch levers that ‘fold’ in the event of a fall, customised instrument panel graphics and Alcantara saddle.

The F4R 1078 cc four-cylinder engine, already tuned in production ‘bikes, has been further modified in the F4CC with an increased bore and weight reduction and in particular an enhanced timing system. Total weight is just 187 kg. Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro tyres sitting on 17” forged aluminium wheels in a special colour assist with unsprung weight and Brembo racing brakes, protected by a second dust cover to reduce wear, are another lightweight addition.
“Whether you want the ultimate head-turning ‘bike for the road, or something very special to add to a collection, this is an incredible opportunity to get hold of an extraordinary MV Agusta,” says Silverstone Auctions auctioneer and MotoGP commentator Toby Moody. “I can’t wait to see who it’s sold to and there will be a lot of interest in this bike. Personally, I wouldn’t be able to resist taking it for a spin. It’s a bike that’s made for riding!”
