Bull-It has recently announced the launch of its new Veloce Jeans, available in selected stores from this Easter. The big news about these jeans are that they are the first to get CE EN-13595-1 Level 2 approval from our friends at the EU.

These are not Kevlar jeans, these are made from a fabric called Covec. Covec doesn’t absorb moisture, offers high abrasion resistance, strong cut resistance and low thermal conductivity. When added together, this gives you a material that does its utmost to protect you in a crash. The Jean products themselves also have CE protection in them, plenty of pockets and height adjustable knee protection pockets.
To achieve CE Approval the garment construction as well as the materials have to achieve set performance levels including abrasion, cut and burst. It makes the garment around 0.5kg heavier but offers protection of the highest level.
