Fast Bikes Magazine June 2014 is OUT NOW!

The weather looks horrendous for the weekend, so pop along to the shops and grab the latest issue of the UK’s best sportsbike magazine. Oh yes, the June edition of Fast Bikes is OUT NOW and will make the perfect companion to watch the racing.

The cover is all about traction control. Whether you love or loathe modern technology, it’s an essential part of modern machinery. We talked to all the manufacturers and dissected the systems to find out what’s hot, and what’s not.

Working forward, the understated Upfront section offers all the latest news and views, AND some epic competitions. After the success of last year’s reader longtermer bikes, we’re doing it all again in 2014 with the chance to live with a Suzuki GSR750, a GSX-R750, a GSX-R1000 and a V-Strom. You’ll ride each for three months and brag your very own page in the magazine.

And, let’s not forget, we’re giving away five sets of Dunlop’s D212 GP Pro – our tyre of the year from ’14 – but in a very special guise. This rubber is hot off the TT production line.

Moving onto bikes, and this month sees a major launch frenzy. Al went to Monaco, drank champagne, ate caviar, and rode the new Ducati Diavel. Meanwhile, Rootsy ripped up Spain on the all-new VFR800F. The boss also sampled Honda’s replacement for the Hornet: the CB650F.

On the slightly nuttier end of the scale, KTM has revamped the 690 SMC R. Fancy a supermoto? This has to be the ideal option.

The big test this month involves cheap middleweight thrills for around £99 a month through cracking finance deals. Yamaha’s all-new MT-07 really shouldn’t be as good as it is for £5k, and this test pitches the triple treat against other naked rivals: Ducati’s baby Monster 696, Kawasaki’s ER-6n and the Suzuki Gladius.

On the feature front, we take a closer look at some classic tracks: what to do and how to ride them. And we grab ten minutes with BT Sport’s ex-world champion, Neil Hodgson.

And then there are the regulars, such as Teapot One’s latest adventures; all the latest legal advice, riding advice, and buying advice; the used test this month is Aprilia’s RS4; there’s a helmet special for products, and this month’s Addiction is Mark Nimmo’s 2008 R1.
