It’s finally here, in full, after being leaked left right and centre over the last few weeks – the new 2017 Ducati 1299 Superleggera! And it doesn’t disappoint either, with a specification worthy of a factory WSB or MotoGP hack and in some areas, it supersedes even those illustrious machines. Wow, just wow…
The big (or small) numbers are as follows – 215bhp, 146Nm of torque & 156kg Dry.
The bigger news is the all carbon fibre frame (or what passes for one) and subframe, and the carbon fibre wheels (which we think are BST). Plus a proper advanced set of electronic aids including slide control. From front to back she’s specced to the nines and for the price of around £70,000, very impressive when compared to something like Honda’s £140,000 RCV’alike.
