Places were swapped around but…
…Chaz crashed with two corners to go, and Rea had no choice but to run over him! Chaz went to pick up his bike…

Rea remounted to make the podium
But Tom Sykes came out the winner!
Race 2, and Jordi Torres took up the challenge!
Which he kept up until his tyre began to deflate – bad day for Pirelli!
Meanwhile, the Kawasaki boys were hanging on…
To this man, Marco Melandri, who had stalked Torres all race…
And went on to win his first race in years!
