New 2018 214bhp Ducati Panigale V4!

Finally, it’s here, and although spy shots revealed what it’d look like weeks ago, we don’t care, because this is the most powerful, fully loaded production superbike (probably rather a lot of…) money can buy!

Yep, the new V4 engine and its 1,103cc engine is now THE most powerful naturally aspirated production superbike on the planet – it may still look a like a Panigale, but she is clearly going to be a very, very different player than the previous (barmy) L-twin was! And there are three of them: Stock (£19,250), S (over £23,000) and Speciale (around £34,000) – and of course we’ll get a 999cc R version later in 2018 too!

Yep, apparently the V4 can somehow, via its electronics suite, help do the whole drifting into bends thing! We guess you still have to brave (and probably talented…) enough to make it happen but, still, wow…

While the looks may not be brand new, only slightly different which we guess some may take umbrage with (even though ‘Gale was already one of the most beautiful bikes ever created), what lies underneath assuredly is, and all of it is absolute top drawer special stuff, from the exquisite V4 engine based on their GP15 MotoGP monster, latest generation electronic suspension and electronics suite, to a flash new dash.

The Speciale, meanwhile, is like the S version but also boasts:

  • Carbon fibre front/rear mudguards
  • Machined-from-solid top yoke with identification number
  • Alcantara® seat
  • Dedicated handle grips
  • Adjustable foot pegs
  • Carbon fiber heel guard
  • Carbon fiber cover swinging arm
  • Racing articulated levers, racing fuel tank cap, brake level protection

And also…

  • Full racing titanium Ducati Performance by Akrapovič exhaust system
  • Racing screen
  • Plate holder removal kit
  • Machined-from solid mirror replacement plugs
  • Ducati Data Analyser+ GPS (DDA + GPS)
  • Bike cover

If you’re loaded, the Speciale is deffo the one to have, while the rest of us get jealous…

Seriously, the launch slated to be late January 2018, really can’t come quick enough…
