Dani Pedrosa topped Wednesday’s timesheets in Malaysia, making it another Honda first, after Casey Stoner set Tuesday’s fastest time. Stoner himself was second, and the Repsol team must be cock-a-hoop at this early pace. Andrea Dovizioso was fourth on the third Repsol bike.
Elsewhere, five of the top six were Hondas, with only Ben Spies splitting them with a stoic third position. Valentino Rossi continued to languish at the back, dropping a place from yesterday to finish the day 13th. Cal Crutchlow is further back in 15th, with the rookie suffering a fall and lucky not to aggrevate his recovering shoulder…
