Back in 1984, Kawasaki launched the first ever Ninja into the American market – the GPZ900R. Kawasaki love a celebratory model, so as part of year-round activities in 2014, the Green firm has launched special versions of the ZX-10R and ZX-6R for the 30th anniversary, featuring ‘distinctive colour and graphic schemes’.
You can’t argue with the ZX-10R’s track pedigree. In BSB’s Superstock class, Danny Buchan is clearing up in a Marc Marquez style. At the season opener at Brands Hatch, Josh Elliot lapped the Indy circuit on his Superstock ZX-10R in 46.3s – just 0.3s slower than Shakey Byrne’s best time in the BSB races.
