In the current issue of our awesome magazine (332, Oct 17), you’ll find our Used Bike review of Triumph’s first Daytona 675R – an incredible second-hand buy!
The Daytona was already an epic Supersport machine, and up to the point when the R version was launched at Portimao had already won our ‘600s’ test three years on the bounce as the 2009 iteration was bang on perfect – or so we thought, because the R took it to another level and nothing touched it for years afterwards.

Some like Kawasaki’s ZX-6R pushed it hard, but the rest fell by the wayside and it took the second-generation MV Agusta F3 675 (around late 2013) to really trouble the Trumpet in a dynamic sense
You can buy these now at still decent prices, as Triumphs hold their value well, but that’s just piece of mind for your own re-sale, and to top it off we still reckon this version Daytona R is only a small fraction behind the very last R they released a couple of years back, when they moved to the underslung exhaust.
Anyway, plenty of info, tips and buying bumpf you’ll find inside, along with a whole load of other cracking tests and features.
