The 2023 model, which is available in Matt Star Silk colouring with new “RR22” livery, will be the first in the range with the new navigation system.

Turn by Turn is an integrated navigator based on the Ducati Multimedia System, which uses the TFT cluster instrumentation to display route guidance from the Ducati Link Act. The system uses Bluetooth connection between smartphone, bike and earphones on the rider’s and passenger’s helmets.

The latest version of the Ducati Link App and the user license activation are required. Users can then enter destinations for the app to calculate routes according to the user’s preferences. Routes can also be downloaded in advance to avoid difficulties of poor signal, however when the phone is online real-time traffic indications are available.

Once the route has been input, the phone can be put away. Navigation directions display on the screen and riders can personalise what indications they receive. Turn by Turn also has the capability to record the route with all data on speed, lean angle, and photos taken on the trip, making it easier to share the experience.

The system will continue to evolve in future versions, and map coverage will increase, with the addition of China, South Korea and Japan expected in the coming months. As well as on the DesertX the system will be adoptable on the Diavel V4.
